20 Best Video Games Of 2018 (So Far)
12. Onrush
FINALLY, the return of arcade racing. We've had Burnout Paradise return as a remaster in March, Forza Horizon 4 literally channeling that game's open world and array of stunt ramps combo, and now Onrush - something that detonates the foundations of the genre all over again.
Laps? Who needs 'em - why not put the emphasis on slamming opponents into trees and canyons as the winner is decided on points or catching a target instead? Cars and bikes both have trick systems and special abilities like rush charges to unlock, bringing across just enough kart racing influence to round everything off.
Somehow, Onrush was completely overlooked at the start of June, but it's immediately refreshing and the most unique racing game since 2010's Blur.
