Capcom certainly opened Pandora’s box by revealing Akira Kazama. Rival Schools characters have mostly been reserved for background characters in stages or guest appearances in other fighting games.

This might be a pipe dream, but perhaps the final Street Fighter V character will be another forgotten soul from Capcom’s other dormant fighting game series.

Your exposure to Darkstalkers is probably confined to the random succubus and demon that have been in recent Marvel vs. Capcom games, or the PS3/Xbox 360 collection - Darkstalkers: Resurrection. Capcom is more likely to choose a character that’s a little more grounded in reality than werewolves, zombies, and other creatures that go bump in the night.

So how about a character that’s a little more human? When compared to the rest of the freaks that populate Darkstalkers, Donovan is the only one that fits. Donovan uses a floating sword and elemental spirits, and Street Fighter isn’t exactly a stranger to weird characters and their bizarre powers. You would have to tone down some of his vampiric side, but he would be an exciting inclusion!
