After all of the weapons we've covered, from explosive pistols to deadly drills, you might not expect to see a simple dagger at the top of this list, but this is no ordinary Dagger, my friend....because it's very sharp!

All joking aside, the Dagger of Piercing or Very Sharp Dagger depending on the edition you're playing, is a weapon that players can find in the opening level of Stonekeep, a first-person dungeon crawler which is so hard in places that I swear the code is made of bloody granite.

Enemies, traps, and little things like having no armour or weapons at the start of the game will likely see your time with game be incredibly short unless you know what you're doing, and so while the Dagger isn't a starting weapon, it's pretty much mandatory to get as soon as you boot things up.

You'll have a hard time finding it without a guide though as the Dagger is hidden in a wall of the first catacombs area and can only be opened by pulling a lever twice and another hidden switch.

Still, it's worth the effort as this weapon will utterly carry you through the opening sections, letting you do slightly more than flail pathetically against the creatures who call this dank dungeon their home.
