9 Things Nobody Wants To Admit About Far Cry 5
6. Enemy Designs Are Reused WAY Too Much
While the lack of weapon variety is pretty bad in Far Cry 5, the vacuum of unique enemies is even worse. From a pure design perspective, the sequel suffers hugely from reusing assets over and over again, meaning you'll be fighting the same selection of three or four cultists for forty hours.
Sometimes the game makes them shirtless or has them wearing a coat depending on the region, but when five of the same enemy attack you at once, it only makes you wonder if corners were cut during development.
Even worse is the distinct enemy types/classes, as they're all borrowed from previous games. Despite taking place thousands of miles away from the other titles, you'll still be fighting the same armour-clad LMG wielders, flamethrower goons and... actually, that's about it.
With a new setting and new villains there could have been so much scope for creativity when it came to the enemy design, but it's all far too familiar to be exciting.
