Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Beta Review - 5 Ups & 5 Downs

2. Crossplay & Cross-Progression Support Is A Major Win

Fans the world over were thrilled when Activision confirmed that not only will Modern Warfare support crossplay between PC and consoles, but players could test it out for themselves during the open beta period.

And the results are, for the most part, pretty damn seamless, allowing friends to play together regardless of their platform choice, and even create a cross-platform friends list allowing for maximum ease of navigation.

Given that crossplay is one of the big gaming buzzwords right now - and understandably so - it's great to see one of the biggest video game franchises of all time setting an impressive standard for what its AAA brethren should follow.

And better still, because Modern Warfare requires players to create an Activision account, cross-progression is reportedly also possible, allowing players to carry their levelling and loadouts between versions of the game. What a time to be alive.
