Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Review - 6 Ups & 5 Downs

2. Domination Steals The Show

Despite the inherent appeal of Ground War's epic canvas of mayhem, Modern Warfare's show-stealing mode is actually a classic fan fave: Domination.

Domination has been one of CoD's perennial bread-and-butter modes, but what makes it so distinctly great in this game is that it provides something of a solution to the game's frustratingly low TTK.

By funnelling players to a series of three distinct objectives, there's far less likelihood that you'll be picked off by a shooter hiding in a dark corner.

It also means that players don't need to exhaustively scan every area of the frame looking for enemies, as more often than not they're heading to the same area you are.

10v10 Domination serves as a major breath of fresh air compared to the game's more frustration-inciting modes, because it feels more stripped-down and back-to-basics while still benefiting from the improved engine.

For those who find themselves constantly dying in Ground War, Domination is the safe haven you've been looking for.
