Far Cry 5: 10 Things We Can't Wait To Do
7. Create Our Own Protagonist
The protagonists in Far Cry games have always been a little forgettable. The third title cast you as an entitled rich guy who turned into a mass-murdering maniac on the flip of a dime, while the fourth game essentially had you become a "chosen one" freedom fighter who's entire personalty was that he would do anything anyone asked him to.
Perhaps realising the shortcomings of these player characters, Far Cry 5 is doing away with a set protagonist entirely, instead allowing fans to create their own Sheriff's deputy to stalk the streets of Montana with.
Just because you don't have a set voice doesn't mean that your actions and motivations won't be integral to the plot though, as your decisions throughout the game will have huge ramifications on the ending.
The people you help, the causes you fight for and the way you choose to deal with the religious cult breathing down your neck will all influence who your character is, and will no doubt make them far more memorable than any of the people who's shoes you were forced into in previous releases.
