Far Cry 5: 10 Things We Can't Wait To Do

3. Fight Zombies And Get Lost On Mars

Although Far Cry often tries to tell a serious, hard-hitting story, the series is always at its best when it pushes that to the side and indulges in the anarchy of its open-world design and larger-than-life characters. In fact, one of the best instalments in the franchise, the Blood Dragon DLC, threw away the serious stuff entirely and created a fever-dream alternate reality that lived and breathed 80s action movies.

Thankfully, while 5's story is returning to darker, real-world influences, its DLC is going to be wackier than ever. Three expansions have been announced so far for the season pass, and each one looks more inline with Blood Dragon than any of the main-series experiences.

Dead Living Zombies will have players doing exactly what it says on the tin and putting undead shamblers back into their graves, while Hours of Darkness will transport them back to Vietnam to fight the Vietcong ala Rambo, and Lost of Mars will, for the first time, launch fans into outer space.

Hopefully these ideas are fleshed out a little bit more going forward, but as it stands now, some of these expansions seem more exciting than the actual sequel itself.
