Designed by Square Enix to be so difficult that people would hopefully quit before finishing it, the Unending Coil of Bahamut is a raid battle in Final Fantasy XIV that pits you against some of the game's toughest enemies in quick succession.

This was the game's first 'Ultimate' difficulty section, designed to be even harder than the Savage and Extreme Primal raids which came before it.

To even be eligible for taking part in this fight, players had to finish all other raid content in the game first. You'll need eight players, all of whom have finished the Deltascape 4.0 raid.

Once you're in, your task is to fight a succession of superbosses in succession. You'll start with Twintania, move on to to Nael deus Darnus and finish off with Bahamut Prime.

Then you'll fight all three of them together, just to make it a bit more tricky.

While not as impossible as Absolute Virtue before it in other MMO Final Fantasy XI, this raid battle is well thought of as one of the toughest boss gauntlet fights in the series.
