You're just off for a nice stroll around the slopes of Mount Gagazet in Final Fantasy X and then BOOM, here's Seymour Flux to really put a dampener on your sightseeing.

While by no means a superboss, Seymour Flux is well known amongst the Final Fantasy community as a really unexpected, really tricky boss fight.

It's about 60% of the way through the game, where the party is almost to their final destination, Zanarkand. You're just walking, when suddenly, in true Final Fantasy style, Seymour appears from nowhere and converts himself into his 'Flux' form, a weird mix between man and machine.

What makes this fight so particularly brutal is its significant difficulty increase over everything you've faced so far. Seymour employs difficult tactics, including inflicting Zombie on your party members, then casting full-cure on them to kill them now they're undead. As zombie makes healing spells hurt, you also can't heal your party unless you remove the zombie status.

He'll also banish your aeons, so you can only use them briefly and occasionally likes to use Total Annihilation, which requires three rounds of charging and kills pretty much any party at this point.

You may even need to grind to improve your characters to actually deal with Seymour here.
