Ozma is a swirling ball of energy. It's also a swirling pain in the you-know-what.

Found in Chocobo's Air Garden at the end of the endlessly-addictive Chocobo Hot and Cold treasure digging minigame in Final Fantasy IX, don't be fooled by Ozma's less-than-fearsome appearance.

This floating ball will test your party to its very limits - spamming off attacks which include Curse, Doomsday, Holy, Level 5 Death and Meteor. It also knows if your party if immune to certain elements, and won't use them if you will block its attack!

Ozma doesn't like to play fair either - if its charging up its ATB gauge and you're meant to attack first, he'll still get his attack off before you do. This is a unique game script exclusive to Ozma.

Then, just to make things even more tricky, Ozma likes to use Curaga on itself regularly, just to shrug off your best attacks.

If you prevail against Ozma, your reward is a Pumice, allowing Dagger to summon the eidolon Ark. You'll also get Ozma's Tetra Master card, and the Strategy Guide key item, which does basically nothing apart from congratulating you for beating Ozma.

Ironically, said Strategy Guide key item is still more useful than the official guide released for Final Fantasy IX back in the day. Seriously, look it up.
