Final Fantasy XV: 10 Major Risks That Could Go Either Way

2. The Story

FFXV has gone through a lot of changes since its origin as Versus XIII. The art design has changed a bit, it€™s gone a graphical overhaul with the change of console generation, and the story has gone through a lot of significant revisions. The basic pieces are the same, it€™s a story about Noctis and his friends going on cross country road trip to save the world, but many of the details have shifted around over the course of development, and it€™s kind of up in the air whether the narrative will manage to balance all its various elements and still feel cohesive. The story at its core is supposed to be a bromance between the main crew, but along with that there€™s also the political situation between the world€™s various kingdoms, supernatural elements relating to various divinities, and Noctis€™ relationship with Luna, who€™s apparently the games second most important character despite not being a party member. Imagine FFX, if Yuna wasn€™t in the party. How would that work? That€™s a lot of plates to keep spinning. It done right, it could be glorious. If done wrong though, well, we all remember how XIII turned out...
