Final Fantasy XV: 12 Hands-On First Impressions
2. Quest Diversity Could Be Better
Another thing FFXV has in common with MGSV: the mission diversity is seriously lacking despite the immense array of tools the player is given to cut foes down.
In the main questline in particular, there's not a lot of variety to missions so far, and the dungeon crawling sometimes gets monotonous given the familiarity of the core gameplay.
Yes, the fun combat prevents if from being a total bore, but given the tools, ingenuity and money Square Enix have at their disposal, it feels a little lazy to opt for so many generic, almost MMO-esque quests that basically feel like padding.
It's a common complaint in open world games and RPGs alike, and unfortunately not one that this game has been able to overcome at all.
