Final Fantasy XV: 12 Hands-On First Impressions
6. The Camera Is Absolutely Terrible
This game's camera sorely needs a rethink. Before the 1.02 Crown update was released (which marginally improves camera issues), the camera would prove a frequent annoyance during combat, making it difficult to make sense of your place in a large battle, and if your fight ended up near some bushes, you could forget about being able to actually see anything at all.
The update does reduce the agony a little, but the camera is still one of the game's most poorly thought-out aspects, and feels incredibly amateur coming from developers as prestigious and well-known as Square Enix.
This is an issue you might expect and even tolerate from a lot of new IPs, but not one with decades of history behind it.
