Final Fantasy XV: 12 Hands-On First Impressions
4. Female Characters Are Pretty Embarrassing
It's a Final Fantasy game, and more to the point it's a Japanese video game, so it shouldn't be massively surprising that the game's approach to women is, well, a bit rubbish.
The very first female character you meet in the game is Cindy, and of course, she's wearing hot pants and an unbuttoned jacket which reveals her heaving bra underneath.
Other female characters you meet in those earlier hours, such as Iris, feel like they're blatantly pandering to 14-year-old nerds who want their anime-infused wet dreams satisfied, and to any adult playing, it's just rather embarrassing.
The series has always had a rather dubious relationship with women, and that is totally unchanged by the latest entry. Of course, this shouldn't be surprising in the slightest.
