5. The Open World Is Grand & Epic
An open world Final Fantasy game could've easily been a total mess, but for the most part SE appear to have pulled it off superbly well...in the game's first half, anyway.
Yes, there are invisible walls that you'll encounter from time to time on your travels, but for the majority, the world feels huge without being overly intimidating in terms of traversal (thanks to fast travel options and the reams of dialogue between your party as you drive from place to place).
There could be more variety in terms of geography and what you can actually do, but given the riskiness of such an undertaking, SE have basically done a bang-up job.
