Final Fantasy XV: 6 Ups & 8 Downs

1. Chapter 13 Is The Worst Thing In Any Final Fantasy Game

Final Fantasy XV Chapter 13
Square Enix

The game's 13th chapter, Redemption, has been the source of massive player frustration since the game's release. Without explaining the context, the three-hour chapter essentially sees Noctis stripped of all his marvelous weaponry and forced to waltz around a large fortress, employing stealth to level up a key card and eventually get his weapons back.

It's woefully tedious and feels so far removed from anything an FF game should ever be: it honestly feels more like a Resident Evil game with the abundance of jump scares.

It's so awful that it really hampers the game's replay value significantly, considering that it doesn't even have the mercy to be brief and is basically just a total slog. Advice: turn the sound down and listen to something relaxing, because otherwise the jumps will drive you insane.

And after all that complaining, here's everything we actually liked about Final Fantasy XV...
