Red Dead Redemption 2: 11 Most Shocking Story Moments
2. Arthur's Horse Dies
Deep breaths everyone - we can do this.
Right from the very get go, Rockstar made their intentions clear that they wanted to transform the relationship players had with their horse from the first Red Dead Redemption. Whereas before they were seen as an expendable means of transportation, in Red Dead 2, they became a genuine companion. It's what makes your horse's death in the final sequence so gut-wrenching, because this was your pet, and Arthur stays with them to the very end.
The tragedy of your steed's demise is compounded further if you complete The Veteran Stranger Mission, where your friend Hamish leaves his horse Buell for you to look after.
Needless to say, if you're not mourning the death of your four-legged companion by the time Arthur draws his last breath, something is seriously wrong.
