7. There Looks To Be Four Houses Connected To The Castle
You're likely aware of Lady Dimitrescu and her daughters (more on them later), but they won’t be the only fearsome family we’ll be crossing paths with during our time in Village.
On the game’s official website, a telling image can be found of four family crests surrounding an image of a castle. These crests are labelled as the houses Dimitrescu, Beneviento, Heisenberg, and Moreau.
From the lavish bottles of wine that that we can find scattered throughout the castle and a necklace we see the lady of the castle wearing, we can assume that the crest of the flower represents the Dimitrescus. Likewise, Heisenberg appears to be the horseshoe, Beneviento the sun and moon, and Moreau the mermaid.
Who the other families are and what their particular crest means within the context of the game still remains to be seen However, the image in question is our strongest clue yet that these families are all connected to each other and the castle in one way or another.
Perhaps more intriguing, though, is that the Umbrella symbol (the evil company responsible for everything that’s gone wrong in the Resident Evil series) is visible at the bottom of this image too.
