Star Wars Battlefront 2 Campaign Hands-On: 10 Things We Learned
9. Stealth Is A Viable Playstyle (Remote Droid-Kills & Wireless Hacking)
The first mission - titled The Cleaner - is comprised almost entirely of stealth as she breaks out of her restraints and goes to town on all the nearby Rebels. Sure, you're free to go lasers-blazing whenever you like, but with Iden's health dropping very fast if you get hit, knockouts and stealth-kills are the order of the day.
Best of all, you're not just sneaking up to Rebels and taking them out - instead your droid (called... Droid... as far as I can tell) can be commanded to fly across the battlefield and zap other foes unconscious. Within seconds you'll be commanding Droid to take someone out on the other side of the room while you karate chop another right in front of you.
It's a solid sense of teamwork, and even when larger missions start coming about (like the Battle on Endor) you'll still be thinning the ranks as a human/droid combo.
Another nod in the right direction is wireless hacking - either of objectives or locked doors to progress through the levels themselves. Knowing you can point Droid in the direction of these locks and carry on fighting or hiding is a small quality of life improvement, but means you're not standing around partaking in arbitrary "lockpicking minigames" like in Uncharted.
