Super Mario Odyssey: Ranking All 8 Revealed Kingdoms So Far

3. Bonneton - Cap Kingdom

Super Mario Odyssey
Nintendo

Bonneton has a thoroughly interesting theme the likes of which we haven't really seen before in a 3D Mario game. At first glance it might appear to be a ghostly level - full of darkness and wispy white mist - but in reality, it isn't. It's a strange looking world, but it's also the world where your new friend Cappy originates from. Bonneton is one of the most intriguing kingdoms in the game and it'll be great to learn more about it.

From the massive towers shaped like top hats, to the almost ethereal yellow moon hanging low in the sky, Bonneton is one of the most unique looking areas in the whole game. The soundtrack is also fantastic, evoking a feeling of whimsy, which when combined with the monochromatic theme, could be mistaken for A Nightmare Before Christmas. Judging by the previews shown so far, Bonneton also appears to be the very first kingdom you visit, so it will serve as players' introduction to Super Mario Odyssey. No pressure!
