What We Know About Resident Evil: Village So Far

1. Elizabeth Bathory Vs Lady Dimitrescu

To our current knowledge, the character of Lady Dimitrescu is very reminiscent of Elizabeth Bathory - a Hungarian Countess who was labelled as the most prolific murderer of the 1500-1600s. She was married at 15, had three daughters (and a son). It's said she had servants to help her in her torturous ways, locking young women in her dungeon and bathing in their blood to remain beautiful and youthful. She lived in a castle (in what is now Slovakia), and ended up being locked in a boarded up room on her own property.

It's definitely a parallel between Lady Dimitrescu and Countess Elizabeth Bathory including; both having three daughters, consuming blood, an affinity of torture dungeons, handfuls of servants most likely in on the brutal murders and suspicious boarded up basement cells.

Maybe there is another vampiric son we've yet to discover (or Ethan becoming the vampiric son) and we can look to the life and times of Bathory to figure out where the plot heads next.
