WWE 2K18: 10 Most Wanted New Features
5. Better Value DLC
The playable roster not being 100% accurate to the real-life product has always been a bone of contention for wrestling fans when WWE games release. In fairness to 2K, it must be legitimately tough to keep up with the changes made on television.
It's not exactly the developer's fault when one star changes gimmick or debuts suddenly.
WWE is an ever-changing landscape, and that's why DLC seemed like such a good idea before; should a wrestler debut on the roster just before release, 2K could get to work on modelling them as extra content sometime in the near future and then offer that character up to fans for a small cost.
Generally though, this tacked on 'bonus' DLC content needs to be better value for hardcore fans. A great example would be Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson in WWE 2K17; not part of the initial roster for the game, The Club were offered to fans as DLC despite having already been in the company for most of 2016.
That feels like cheating the fan rather than offering up a genuine extra 2K could do nothing about beforehand, and that approach must change.
