How many times are longtime fans of 'Dubya-C-Dubya' going to have to fire up the N64 for an hour or WCW/nWo Revenge before 2K make it unnecessary? The rich history of WCW is just begging for use in a modern WWE game, so start those petitions now for a WCW retrospective in 2K18.

Leave that WWE propaganda machine at the door though, because any look at WCW's time in the sun should be a love letter to those who followed the promotion from bleach-blonde Sting and Ric Flair majesty to nWo dominance. A 'Rise & Fall' account of WCW sounds tempting, but WWE would probably find it hard not to rub salt into old wounds.

For a refreshing twist on the 'we won, we won' fanfare WWE usually spout whenever Atlanta comes up in conversation, why not zone in on WCW circa 1990-1998? Analysing why the promotion became wrestling's biggest, instead of laughing at how it all fell apart, seems logical.
