WWE 2K21: 10 Most Wanted New Features

1. New Assets

Alarm bells started to ring late-last year before 2K20's release when Yuke's announced they were parting ways with 2K and going off to do their own thing. Then, 2K scrambled, brought Visual Concepts on board and salvaged the meagre amount of code Yuke's had left on the servers.

It wasn't enough.

2K20 was a graphical bomb scare that looked 10x worse than games over 10 years older than it (just look at the difference between John Cena models in the pic above). In 2K21, they're going to have to build new assets and, wait for it, actually come up with new animations, models and graphics that don't rely on ancient templates.

This will take a lot of work, sure, but it's essential and it's why they might want to shift focus onto booking simulators, party game mechanics or fan service in the short-term. Rebuilding this series from the ground up will take time, and 2K desperately need to move on from second hand code.
