WWE 2K24: 10 Things You NEED To Know Before You Buy

2. It’s Worthwhile For MyRise Alone

Grand announcement time: This year’s MyRise is the one you’ve been waiting for.

Sure, the tale it tells is still cheesier than Chester McCheeserton from the old Head Cheese days, but both stories in the mode offer plenty of bang for your buck. Both ‘Undisputed’ (the male character story) and ‘Unleashed’ (female) feel like they could co-exist in the same WWE landscape, which is another bonus.

Multiple save slots mean you’re free to experiment with all the branching paths as well, and it’s so much fun to dip in and out of both stories at will without worrying about losing track of what's going on. Showcase, Universe and MyGM might hog the headlines, but it’s MyRise that’s the mode you need to play this time.

Best of all, neither story feels like it has too much unnecessary padding. That prevents things from becoming a slog, which was certainly an issue previously. Now, MyRise zips along at a nice rate, and the core gameplay is fun enough to back it up in-ring.
