WWE 2K24 Review: 9 Ups & 4 Downs

2. The Strength Of MyRise

MyRise has steadily been earning a spot near the top of the feature set for good reason. This year, 2K's dual campaigns throw you into bespoke scenarios that truly make the most of the WWE sandbox: 'Unleashed' has you playing as a female indy star who launched her own promotion and knocked back WWE before, and 'Undisputed' casts you as a male midcarder who's suddenly thrust into the main event mix.

Why? One Roman Reigns decided to vacate his title and jet off to Hollywood in a bid to top The Rock's body of work. That, dear reader, is tremendous banter, and it shows off the goofy-but-still-grounded tone of MyRise perfectly. Both stories are charming and feel closer than ever before to the old Story Modes of yesteryear.

Multiple save slots mean you're free to experience with branching paths too. It's also a plus that 2K finally moved away from the standard rookie trope and towards characters who are more confident/seasoned. Also also, was 'Unleashed' a nod towards AEW's creation? It just might be.

Again, ace banter if so.
