WWE 2K24 Review: 9 Ups & 4 Downs

1. MyGM Remains A Struggle

WWE 2K24 MyGM Mode
2K Games

Whilst it's defo amazing that 2K brought GM Mode back, it's also fair to say they've still got some work to do before MyGM is special. It's very restrictive, and the overwhelming, stat-heavy menus feel a little clunky and lifeless at first too. Prepare to do a lot of reading and see a ton of Xavier Woods popping up as your guide.

The mode's algorithms don't allow for much player freedom either. Thus, you're almost forced into booking the same match types over and over again, and discouraged from experimenting with seemingly obvious combos just because some fighting styles don't match and result in automatic failure.

2K should change that, because it doesn't make sense that Drew McIntyre vs. Roman Reigns gets a lower rating than Drew vs. Drew Gulak, or something like that. That's just a clumsy example, but you get the point. There's so much more the devs could do to make MyGM a joy to mess around with.

Maybe next year, eh?
