10 Biggest Mistakes In Rock Music History
1. Hey Jude - The Beatles
There's a reason why the Beatles have endured as one of the most respected rock and roll bands of all time. Ever since their glory years in the '60s, songs like In My Life and Yesterday have recognizable themes and instantly catchy tunes that everyone could find enjoyment in, whether you were 16 years old or 60. Though they may appear wholesome, Hey Jude actually shows the Fab Four's potty mouths.
Hell, there are many different facets of this song that could be considered screw ups, like Ringo not even being present on the first few minutes of the track because he was using the bathroom. This one focuses on when they did the actual vocal take, with John Lennon and Paul McCartney singing into one microphone. Apparently the guys didn't have the full set of lyrics in front of them, which causes them to crack up a little bit.
While we can discount this as just another charming Beatles moment, you can actually hear John saying "f*cking hell" when you listen to the isolated vocal track. When you take into account that they had a full orchestra waiting in the wings to do the final part of the song though, it'd make sense why they would gloss over the more technical mistakes. Still, only the Beatles can make a song with a huge swear word right in the middle of it, and the public passes over it like it's nothing.
