Ribery is sometimes a player you watch closely and wonder if he is actually anything special, but the Frenchman is just so, so effective he has to be seen as one of the finest players in world football currently. Having sometimes flattered to deceive during his younger years, his game has gone up many, many notches in recent times. The 31-year-old Bayern Munich man is a hugely dangerous winger with blistering pace, quick feet and an ability to either cut inside or hit the byline to devastating effect. He has flourished under Pep Guardiola since the Spaniard arrived in Germany in the summer of 2012, winning two Bundesliga titles in a row and the 2013 Champions League. With him on one wing and Arjen Robben on the other, Bayern are simply unstoppable at times. Ribery is the kind of player you only fully appreciate when he's out injured or not at his best, and that proved to be the case at times last season. When he's in full flow he is a massive player for both club and country. He might not be the most likeable player around, but he's mighty talented.
