Ederson arrived in the Premier League last summer and went on to have one of the most impressive debut seasons on record, being a key part in Man City's incredible run to glory under Pep Guardiola. And yet, in spite of all that, he might not actually start for Brazil at this summer's World Cup.

It's a testament to the sheer depth of quality Brazil have that a player of Ederson's calibre might not be the nation's number one, but he still deserves a spot on this list as one of the best keepers on the planet right now. Many other nations would be more than grateful to have him between the sticks, and Brazil coach Tite is spoiled for choice with his goalie options at the moment.

An excellent shot-stopper, particularly at close-range, and a good penalty saver too, Ederson also stands out for his coolness on the ball and ability to play out from the back, as well as delivering some truly enormous goal kicks.
