10 Best Players Of The 2018 World Cup

2. Eden Hazard

Quite possibly the most exciting player to watch over the course of this World Cup, Belgium's Eden Hazard was in scintillating form right from the off. The 27-year-old captained his side, assisting a goal in the opening game, scoring twice in the second, and playing a major role in Belgium's remarkable comeback win against Japan in the round of 16.

Against Brazil in the quarter finals, the Chelsea midfielder ran the show, setting a World Cup record with a 100% success rate on all ten of his dribble attempts. His efforts weren't enough to see off France in the semis, but he still had enough in the tank to score a final goal in the third place play-off game with England.

In what was Belgium's best ever World Cup, Hazard was the side's finest player. He looked dangerous almost every single time he had the ball and, at the age of 27, he should get one more chance of winning a World Cup in 2022.
