The Blues re-signed Nemanja Matic back in 2014 after initially allowing him to join Benfica a few years prior.

Matic proved integral to Chelsea as they went on to enjoy success under Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese manager's second spell was once again a good one, with Matic crucial in the middle of the park as Chelsea won another league title.

The Serbian won two Premier League titles with the Blues along with the FA Cup winners medal he somehow won in 2010 despite hardly playing.

Such was Matic's impact at Chelsea that Jose Mourinho was convinced to take him to Manchester United with him in 2017. Things didn't quite go as well for Matic at United as they did at Chelsea, although he did win the goal of the season competition for the Red Devils for his strike against Crystal Palace in 2018.
