10 Biggest Controversies In UFC History

9. UFC 151 Cancellation

Img 15052014 111548 UFC 151 was scheduled to take place on the 1st of September 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The card featured notable fighters such as Dennis Siver, Jake Ellenberger and John Lineker while the main event was set to be a championship bout between UFC Light Heavyweight champion Jon Jones and long-time contender Dan Henderson. However, 8 days before the event it was announced that Dan Henderson was injured with a partial MCL rupture and was not able to fight. The UFC tried to seek a replacement in the form of former middleweight challenger Chael Sonnen. Jones declined to fight Sonnen on such short notice, adhering to the advice given by coach Greg Jackson. If you€™ve watched The Ultimate Fighter, you€™ll be aware that Dana White loves people who are willing to fight anyone at any time, so this didn€™t sit well with the boss at all. He even went as far as to say that Jackson and Jones €˜murdered€™ the event. Ouch.
