8. Louis Smolka
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Re7pUY3C5rQ Smolka is tall and lanky for a flyweight, with a tight submission game and slicing elbows from top position. And at 4-1 in the UFC, Smolka has already shown he be very well rounded with two decision wins along with a knockout and submission victory. The Hawaiian is a brown belt in Judo and a junior brown belt in Kenpo Karate, and is another prospect with flashy kicks who can use his range well to keep his opponents on the outside. Smolka's only loss so far was a split decision loss to UFC veteran Chris Cariaso, which honestly could have easily gone the other way. At 5" 9 the Hawaiian is extremely tall for the Flyweight division, what's even better is that Smolka uses his reach advantage well on the feet and for crafty submissions and sweeps on the mat. Providing he continues to improve and add new weapons to his arsenal he poses an interesting match up to anyone in the Flyweight division.
