Every since that photo of a young Harry Kane clad in an Arsenal kit emerged online, Gunners everywhere have been wasting no time in rubbing it in their Spurs’ contemporaries faces. Of course, their rivals need only point to the ‘Arsenal fan’s’ 50 goals in his last two campaigns for the club, while the Gunners struggle with Olivier Giroud up front.

Kane has tried to quell speculation that he’s a former Gunner - afraid that his special hymn around White Hart Lane would be blemished if they knew the truth. But there have been several photos emerging of Kane dressed in Arsenal shirts as a youngster - there haven’t been so many of him in a Spurs kit.

And with the Gunners hoovering up trophies in North London during the early 00’s, who could blame him? Kane was even in the clutches of the Gunners as a kid, with the academy releasing him at the age of eight.

One thing is for sure however - Arsenal fans might not be envious of Spurs for much, but they would freely admit their rivals’ centre-forward is a commodity that they covet.
