10 Copa America Players Newcastle Could Realistically Target

7. Felipe Guiterrez (Chile)

Age: 24 Position: Defensive-Midfielder Club: FC Twente International Caps (Goals): 23 (1) Estimated Market Value: £6 million If Cheick Tiote does depart St James' Park this summer then a defensive-midfielder may need to be recruited and Felipe Gutierrez could fit that bill perfectly. The 23-cap Chile international could follow Tiote from FC Twente to Tyneside - and he was previously managed by new Magpies head coach Steve McClaren in Holland during the 2012-13 season. Signed by Twente from Universidad Catolica for £3 million in 2012, Gutierrez has made 65 appearances for the Eredivisie side, netting seven goals in the process. Voted as the Eredivisie's best player in 2013-14, the 5ft 7in midfielder also performed well at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil - and his style would likely suit the Premier League.
