The Liverpool teams under Roy Evans delivered plenty of excitement and high-octane action. And even though that might not have translated into domestic success, his attacking philosophy produced an enticing alliance between Fowler and Collymore.

In the 1995/96 season, the Reds strike pair were the most formidable, helping Liverpool achieve third position in the Premier League by contributing 58% of the total goals scored!

Fowler was particularly at his peak, netting 28 times, which was twice as much as his counterpart. He narrowly finished behind Alan Shearer in the scoring charts, but that isn't to suggest Collymore was any less important.

His contributions in that epic 4-3 victory over Newcastle United is a timely reminder, as he acted as a perfect foil to Fowler and the duo bagged a brace apiece.
