10 Footballers You Won't Believe Have A Premier League Winners Medal

7. Ronnie Wallwork

Despite spending some five seasons at Manchester United in what was a trophy-laden period for the club in the late 90s and early 2000s, midfielder Wallwork only got his hands on one Premier League winners medals.

Wallwork had played a bit-part in previous seasons under Sir Alex Ferguson, but never quite managed to get enough minutes under his belt to fit the criteria for being awarded a medal.

2000/01 proved different for the United youngster, however, as he was given his chance by Ferguson in the middle of the park thanks to niggling injuries to the likes of Roy Keane and Nicky Butt.

Despite getting his hands on a winners medal, Wallwork's time in the United first-team didn't last long, as the Red Devils splashed out on Juan Sebastien Veron the following summer.

Wallwork subsequently moved on to West Brom where he became a regular over the course of a six-year period.

The midfielder saw the later days of his career halted thanks in part to a horrific stabbing injury sustained while at Barnsley, while he also received a 15-month prison sentence following a short spell with Sheffield Wednesday.
