The former Blues favourite pulled off the proverbial great escape in the 2013/14 season with Sunderland, proving he can cut it at the top level of the English game.

The question would be if Poyet could make an impact on the European stage. If Chelsea were to appoint their former playmaker it would certainly be a surprise given what stage he is at in his career.
