Apart from being one of the Premier League's best ever goalkeepers, Petr Cech strikes you as a really nice bloke.

In fact, he is so inoffensive that even hard-as-nails Chelsea fans were happy to forgive the Czech Republic international for moving to their cross-city rivals Arsenal two years ago.

Given all of that, it might be a little surprising to see him named on a list of great hard men, and whilst it's true that the 35-year-old has largely steered clear of on-pitch fisticuffs, he has demonstrated throughout his career an inordinate amount of steel.
