Apart from the fight itself, the weigh-in is the second aspect a fan looks forward to - it's the last chance both fighters come face-to-face before the bell rings and the last chance to creep any doubt into the opponent. The last weigh-in between Froch and Groves ended in the two being pulled apart with Froch saying what he thought of Groves right in his eardrum. Groves simply stood at the weigh-in listening to Froch, not saying a word: the silence infuriated Froch who looked like he could not wait to put on the 8 ounce gloves and knock Groves out. It is hard to gain anything from a weigh-in apart from the physical shape a boxer is in. It makes no sense for a fighter to believe he has gained an edge over another fighter for blinking last during the face off or not taking their eyes off the opponent. Judging by yesterday's press conference the weigh-in may be an anti-climax as both do not need to sell the fight or gain publicity. The fight is unfinished business and is picking up straight after the 9th round stoppage last time out. Both may reserve their energy for Saturday and let their fists do the talking.
