6. Twenty-Two - Points West Brom Have Picked Up Since Tony Pulis Took Charge, Compared To The Eight John Carver's Newcastle Have Claimed In That Time
Newcastle have lost eight matches in a row in the Premier League for the first time in their history and Carver has collected an average of just 0.5 points per game (from 16 matches in total) since taking charge at the turn of the year. If Carver continued at the helm for Newcastle across an entire 38-game season, the club would collect just 19 points - which is already seven less than the current tally basement-boys Burnley have. Alternatively, Tony Pulis has overseen 15 Premier League games since taking over from Alan Irvine with the Baggies in a perilous position in January - and he has picked up 22 points, an average of 1.46 per match (or almost three times that of Carver). Carver has won two Premier League matches in that time, while Pulis has won six. Yet Carver is the self-professed "best coach in the Premier League"...
