The Magpies may have stopped the rot last weekend by ending a run of eight-successive defeats - with Ayoze Perez's strike securing a 1-1 draw against West Bromwich Albion at St James' Park - but it shouldn't be forgotten that they still haven't actually won a game since February 28th. Just one point from a possible 27 makes for pitiful reading - and that's why Newcastle have been dragged into the relegation dogfight when they should have been all-but safe two months ago.
