10 Keys To Spurs' Potential Success This Season
7. Utilise & Nurture Christian Eriksen Effectively
Christian Eriksen was without a doubt the best performer of Spurs' new signings last season - so much so, in fact, that he won the club's Player of the Year award. Without being remotely unrealistic, it isn't a stretch to say that Eriksen quite genuinely has all the tools to become one of the best five players in the world. He has superb feet, a wonderful first touch (seriously, did you see the lesson in ball control he gave as the ball dropped to him in the Queens Park Rangers game?), is extremely creative, crosses well, takes a mean set-piece, scores goals and works hard.He made 36 competitive appearances last season 29 of which were from the start in what was his first campaign in England and scored 10 goals from an attacking midfield position, which is a great return, and he will undoubtedly be expected to improve this year. If he's nurtured correctly - which Mauricio Pochettino seems to be great at doing with players - he could be one of the best players in the league and could really drive Spurs towards the top of the table.
