10 Keys To Spurs' Potential Success This Season

6. Get The Best Out Of Lamela & Soldado

Last summer, Spurs spent a total of £56 million on two players who simply didn't perform in their first season. Effectively, if they can get the best out of them this season, it will be like adding £56 million worth of talent to a team who finished in the top six of the Premier League without them playing (which, to be fair, they might as well not have been). Soldado has already got on the score sheet this season - with a goal in Spurs' 2-1 Europa League win in Cyprus against AEL Limassol - while Erik Lamela has arguably been the club's best overall performer in the first three games of the season, with no less than four assists in his last two games. Mauricio Pochettino's renowned ability to make players perform to their best and the additional bonus of him being able to speak to native language of both Soldado and Lamela could make this a very special season for the pair and, subsequently, a great season for Spurs.
