10 Lengthiest Bans In Newcastle United History

2. Freddie Shepherd - Who Knows?

That's right, former Newcastle United Chairman Freddie Shepherd is banned from St James' Park. The Mirror ran a story about how current Toon owner Mike Ashley became embroiled in a business wrangle with the Shepherd and ex-vice chairman Douglas Hall, after the crafty cockney paid £133 million to take control of the club. That dispute meant that Ashley banned the Shepherds and the Halls from St James' even though they paid for the use of one of the corporate boxes in the ground. Many fans will agree with this move as it is obvious that Shepherd and Hall didn't do due diligence on Mr Sports Direct while negotiating the sale of the club. Neither man has been spotted inside SJP since.
