Younes Kaboul was Mauricio Pochettino's surprise choice for club captain at White Hart Lane this season. Most people thought Kaboul was going to be mostly used as a sub, after Pochettino signed his fellow Argentinian Federico Fazio from La Liga club Sevilla. In fact, even after he was named as captain, people still thought that might be the case, but he has gone on to be Pochettino's first choice centre back. Consequently, he has to be more vocal on the pitch. You don't see him shouting enough or being obviously influential and encouraging to his team-mates often enough. As club captain, Kaboul has a responsibility to be persistently loud and proud on the pitch - especially when times are hard.
