4. Manchester United 2-3 Spurs
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBSAjQLakMI Date: Saturday the 29th of September, 2012. Venue: Old Trafford. Scorers: Vertonghen, Bale, Dempsey. Why was it memorable? This was the match in which Spurs broke a 23-year-long record of failing to win at Old Trafford (a 1989 match in which Gary Lineker scored for Spurs was the previous occasion). It was the season United last won the title, so Spurs had beaten the eventual champions on their own turf (only Chelsea and Manchester City achieved the same feat that season). Goals from Jan Vertonghen (which could be credited as an own goal to Johnny Evans, in fairness), Gareth Bale and Clint Dempsey ensured the victory - though Spurs made hard work of it as they let United back in with nearly 40 minutes left to play.
