10 Mistakes Spurs Boss Mauricio Pochettino Has Made So Far

1. He Hasn't Signed A Striker

As we've already touched upon in this article, Spurs failed to fix a glaring issue with their squad - a lack of goals and a distinct lack of a player capable of playing in Mauricio Pochettino's system - as they didn't sign a new striker in the summer. Neither Emmanuel Adebayor, Roberto Soldado or Harry Kane can play up front on their own - and this is reflective of their goalscoring records this season. Adebayor has scored just once in the league and is yet to score in other competitions, Soldado is yet to score in the league and has scored just two in other competitions, while Harry Kane leads the way with four goals - none of which came in the Premier League. Indeed, the club's top scorer is midfielder Nacer Chadli, who has scored four goals - all of which came in the league. The likes of Eric Dier and Christian Eriksen have scored as many as Soldado in all competitions and more than Adebayor - this clearly needs addressing and a new striker capable of scoring goals in Pochettino's system must be brought in this January. So there you have it - ten mistakes Mauricio Pochettino has made at Spurs so far. Did you enjoy this article? Do you agree with the entries on this list?
